Welcome to the world of Gwinkle. 

 

My name is Amy and I am the maker of Gwinkle earrings.  I have always loved jewellery, I love colour, shapes, fabric and texture.  I am inspired by every day things.  A fluffy white cloud against a beautiful blue sky, a pattern print on a curtain or the rich bright colour of algae in a pond.  These are the types of things that I capture in my head and inspire my designs and creations.   

 

Normally I am a mum of 2 children and work part time as a holistic massage/beauty therapist. Combining this with paint and glitter, makes it all feel the perfect balance. I have dreamt one day of starting my own creative business and have loved the journey of making it a reality. 

 

My love for jewellery began when I was travelling Europe and seeing all the wonderful elaborate designs of alternative creators.  I remember being on a boat travelling to Ibiza and seeing a Spanish dancer with the most theatrically opulent pair of earrings. She just glowed and twinkled. I held that image in my head. Years later I started experimenting with air dry and Polymer clay which then led me into working with Resin. 

 

Most of my earrings have a touch of glitter, sparkle and an explosion of colour. I love the way a pair of beautiful earrings can make you feel. 

 

Gwinkle, the name, is a play on the words Glow and Twinkle.   

Life feels more exciting with Colour and Glitter...
